Upload 1099 data file to Idaho

Registration is Required: You will need to have username and account with Idaho TAP.

• To Create a Username


• Click here to access the Idaho TAP https://idahotap.gentax.com/TAP/_/
• Click on “Sign Up” on the right side
• When asked if you received a registration code, leave No selected and click Next.
• Fill in the information and click Submit. You see a confirmation screen.
• You wil receive a registration code in the mail within 7-10 business days.
• When you receive your registration code log into the Idaho Tap website
• Click yes that you have received a registration code and enter the code
• Complete the Information and click Submit



• Enter and verify all 1099 data




• Enter the Submitter Information


• Click E-file Direct > Submitter Information
• Submitter information is person uploading the file
• Contact information is the Firm information preparing the 1099s



• Create the data file to upload


• Click E-file Direct > Create 1099/1098 Files > Create State 1099/1098 File and select Idaho
• Select a submitter
• Upload file information is the name and location of the file being created. You will need this information during the upload process.
• Click the [Create File] button to create the upload file.



• Upload the data file


• Click here to access the Idaho TAP https://idahotap.gentax.com/TAP/_/
• Enter Username and Password and click on “Log In” on the right side
• Click on Upload a 1099 file under "I Want To"
• Use the [Browse…] button to browse and locate the file created with the W2/1099 Filer
• Click [Save]
• Once you’ve successfully uploaded your file, you’ll receive a confirmation screen, which you can print by clicking Print.
