Upload 1099 data file to Utah
Registration is Required: You will need to have username and account with Utah TAP.
- To Create a Username
- Enter and verify all 1099 data
- Enter the Submitter Information
- Click E-file Direct > Submitter Information
- Submitter information is person uploading the file
- Contact information is the Firm information preparing the 1099s
- Create the data file to upload
- Click E-file Direct > Create 1099/1098 Files > Create State 1099/1098 File and select Utah
- Select a submitter
- Upload file information is the name and location of the file being created. You will need this information during the upload process.
- Click the [Create File] button to create the upload file.
- Upload the data file
- Click here to access Utah TAP https://tap.tax.utah.gov/TaxExpress/_/
- Enter your Username and Password and click on Log In on the right side
- Click the Home link to see your TAP dashboard.
- Click File W-2s, 1099s, TC-675Rs, Withholding Returns link.
- Click 1099
- Click the link for Fixed Length File Upload under 1099.
- Review disclosure statement and click Yes to proceed.
- Click Add Attachment
- Select 1099 from the drop down list
- Enter a description for your file
- Click the Choose File button to browse and locate the file created with the W2/1099 Filer
- Click OK.
- Review the summary page and Click Submit.
- Print or save the Confirmation screen
