Upload W-2 data file to Connecticut

Registration is Required: You will need to have username and account with CT myconneCT.

• To Create a Username


• Click here to access CT myconneCT https://drs.ct.gov/eservices/_/
• Click on the Create a Username on the right side





• Click [Next] on the Create a Username Requirements screen
• Select Your Access Type
• Businesses owners should select Business User
• Accountants filing on behalf of their clients should select Third Party Bulk Filer
• Answer Yes or No if you are registered with the Department of Revenue Services
• Enter the remaining information



• Enter and verify all W2 data




• Enter the Submitter Information


• Click E-file Direct > Submitter Information
• Submitter information is person uploading the file
• Contact information is the Firm information preparing the W-2s



• Create the data file to upload


• Click E-file Direct > Create W-2 Files > Create State file and select Connecticut
• Select a submitter
• Upload file information is the name and location of the file being created. You will need this information during the upload process.
• Click the [Create File] button to create the upload file.



• Upload the data file


• Click here to access CT myconneCT https://drs.ct.gov/eservices/_/
• Enter Username and Password and click on log in on the right side
• Click [More...]





• Click View Bulk Filer Menu under Bulk Filing





• Click Single Client W-2 Upload under File Payroll Withholding Forms





• Select Bulk File
• Select Standardized File Layout
• Click [Next]





• Click [Next] on the Please enter form year if different screen


• Enter Employer Information and click [Next]





• Use the [Choose File] button to browse and locate the file created with the W2/1099 Filer
• 1. Select file location - By default the files created will be in C:\TAS\23W21099\Efile\CompanyName\CT
• 2. Select the file
• 3. Click [Open] button to close the window





• Click [Next]
• Verify the File Summary information and click [Submit]
