Upload W-2 data file to Louisiana
Registration is Required: You will need to have username and account with the Louisiana LaWage.
- To Create a Username
- Click here to access Louisiana LaWage https://esweb.revenue.louisiana.gov/LaWage/Login.aspx
- Click on “Create User Account” in the middle below Username and Password
- Enter and verify all W2 data
- Enter the Submitter Information
- Click E-file Direct > Submitter Information
- Submitter information is person uploading the file
- Contact information is the Firm information preparing the W-2s
- Create the data file to upload
- Click E-file Direct > Create W-2 Files > Create State file and select Louisiana
- Select a submitter
- Upload file information is the name and location of the file being created. You will need this information during the upload process.
- Click the [Create File] button to create the upload file.
- Upload the data file

- Enter Username and Password and click the [Login] button
- Click on Upload W-2s under "What would you like to do?" on the Home screen
- Click the [Browse] button at the bottom of the screen to browse and locate the file created with the W2/1099 Filer
- 1. Select file location - By default the files created will be in C:\TAS\23W21099\Efile\CompanyName\LA
- 2. Select the file
- 3. Click [Open] button to close the window
- Click the [Upload File] button.
- You will receive a confirmation number indicating the file was successfully uploaded
- Check the Status of uploaded files
- From the home screen under Pending/In-progress Submissions the Current Status is shown
- Check the Validation to verify the file validation has passed.
- On the right you can also View Submission Details
- Testing the Data File
- You can test the data file prior to uploading to Louisiana by Check the This is a test file box on the W-2 Upload page
- THE FILE MUST STILL BE UPLOADED (see Upload the data file above)
