Upload W-2 data file to Pennsylvania

Registration is Required: You will need to have username and account with Pennsylvania myPath.

• To Create a Username


• Click here to access Pennsylvania myPath https://mypath.pa.gov/_/
• Click on Sign Up below Log in





• Click [Next] on the Logon Registration page
• Check to consent on the Electronic Correspondence and Communications Agreement and then click [Next]
• Complete the requested information on the Register page.
• Are you a third party tax professional?
• Select [Yes] if you are an accountant filing returns for your clients
• Select [No] if you are only filing returns for your company


• Click [Next] to complete the registration



• Enter and verify all W2 data




• Enter the Submitter Information


• Click E-file Direct > Submitter Information
• Submitter information is person uploading the file
• Contact information is the Firm information preparing the W-2s



• Create the data file to upload


• Click E-file Direct > Create W-2 Files > Create State file and select Pennsylvania
• Select a submitter
• Upload file information is the name and location of the file being created. You will need this information during the upload process.
• Click the [Create File] button to create the upload file.



• Upload the data file

• Enter your Username and Password and click on Log in


• If you are a Third Party Preparer click on Accountant Center
  
  
  
  
• Under Bulk File click on Upload Sales and Employer Withholding Files
• On the File Upload page click the [Add File] button





• On the Select A File to Attach page, use the drop down menu to select PA-W2(EFW2) as the file type
• Enter a desciption for the file being uploaded
• Click the [Browse...] button to open the File Upload window





• Use the File Upload window to browse and locate the file created with the W2/1099 Filer
  • 1. Select file location - By default the files created will be in C:\TAS\23W21099\Efile\CompanyName\PA
  • 2. Select the file
  • 3. Click [Open] button to close the window
  
  
  
  
  
  • On the Select A File to Attach page, click [OK]
  • On the File Upload page click the [Submit] button to submit the file to the Pennsylvania Department of Revenue
  
  
  
• Check the Status of uploaded files


• From the Accountant Center page click on Search Bulk Upload Submissions under Submissions
