Upload W2 data file to Wisconsin
- Enter and verify all W2 data
- Enter a Submitter Information
- Click E-file Direct > Submitter Information
- Submitter information is person uploading the file
- Contact information is the Firm information preparing the W-2s
- Create the data file to upload
- Click on E-file Direct > Create W-2 Files > Create State file and select Wisconsin
- Select a submitter
- Upload file information is the name and location of the file being created. You will need this information during the upload process.
- Click the [Create File] button to create the upload file.
- Upload the data file
- Click here to access Oregon Revenue Online website https://www.revenue.wi.gov/Pages/OnlineServices/home.aspx
- Click on File Transfer Form W-2, 1099-R, 1099-M, W-2G located under Businesses
- Click on [Ready to Transfer EFW2] located under EFW2, 1099, W-2G to open the File Transmission screen
- Select file type W2 Data Current Tax Year 2022 from the drop down menu
- Is this a test file? Click No
- Use the [Browse…] button to browse and locate the file created with the W2/1099 Filer
- 1. Select file location - By default the files created will be in C:\TAS\23W21099\Efile\CompanyName\WI
- 2. Select the file
- 3. Click [Open] button to close the window
- Click the [Transfer] button on the File Transmission screen to submit the file.
- You will see Withholding File Transfer Results listed on the next screen.
